I decided to fly solo and not re-installing Chrysalis Pack (at least for now), so I'm trying to install applications on my own.

I was not sure if the SDL Preferences, normally found in Sys:Preferences/ with Chrysalis (a.k.a. Pack Ultimate), was automatically installed with a fresh installation of Morphos 3.4.

So I found and Installed PowerSDL, but I'm not sure or know where to save the downloaded folder, for now I have it saved at sys:. I also ran the installation of PowerSDL and saw some files saved in Sys:Libs/ I hope this is all OK.

One of the reasons I installed the SDL Preferences is to be able to toggle the setting of Promote SDL screen on and off, since I'm having problems in displaying some games correctly.

Games such as Hex-a-Hop and BirdShot are playing in a small window lodged in the upper left corner of the display; the rest of the screen is a grey background, but toggling on/off Promote SDL Screen is not working or giving me the expected results.
Is there any other way to force a game to play in full screen? Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Promote SDL screens was supposed to promote screens to native resolutions (similar to non-native screens on PowerBook) but scaler had subtle bugs I never fixed. In 16.1 release more support code was finally disabled due to other problems introduced by this option.

It is quite annoying when there is small post stamp in upper left corner and remainging of screen is empty.

So is it possible to play games in full screen mode? I remember being able to play Birdshot in full screen with mos 3.3; the same with Hex-a-Hop.

Do you have 640x480 modes in System Settings -> Monitors? If not, create them. I think BirdieShoot uses 640x480x16bit mode.
