Just curious to see how long your laptops can run on battery power under MorphOS.
Any built-in wifi support? (instead of having to use a dongle)
In my experience lasts much longer than with OSX. I guess the reason is that OSX is continously writing and reading the hibernation file, while MorphOS just uses the memory once an application is running. Also the base cpu/gpu load of MorphOS is quite low.
My 14" iBook G4 1,33Ghz, with 1.25GB Memory and an 160GB harddrive runs around 3.5 hours with a battery from 2008/9. When I first tried MorphOS it was possible to use it for more than 5 hours, but this of course depends on display brightness, cpu/gpu load and connected hardware (SSD,memory size, external mouse, external wifi bridge, internal pcmcia network interface).
There is no internal wifi yet, you have to use a pcmcia interface or (no choice on iBooks) an usb driven ethernet->wifi bridge.
