There's now a tooltype to disable the framescanning/length calculation to speed up the loading of tracks: FRAMESCAN=NO
You'll lose ability to seek in such tracks, but speeds up the loading massively if you have loots of broken mp3 files.

Another new tooltype STREAMBUFFER=YES activates the experimental Reggae streambuffer class which reduces stuttering, but causes lag on track change and seeking.

What I would like to see is support for internet radio streaming (.pls and .m3u) to make it perfect and minimal. Any chance?

Streaming support would be actually a nice add to Jukebox. MPlayer is a bit overkill for radio streaming.

BTW, streaming works nicely with AmiNetRadio (both OGG and MP3 streams).

Why not use AmitNetRadio for streaming?

Found some problems while listening to large mp3 files (i.e. Podcasts) I do have some small delays/distortion every now and then but regular. I don't have these with DAPlayer or AmigaAmp. Any idea?

It should help if you could point to specific files (podcast episodes, etc.) so they can be tested by others.

Danke, someone pointed me to the tooltype STREAMBUFFER=YES mentioned above which seems to did the job, I can't hear any stuttering anymore.

But, one more thing... what about including an id3tag editor?

I'm using CgmRadio v2.0 from krashan to play streams/internet radio.

I used it to stream Radio Fritz, with the help of some scripts I can have the currently playing title displayed in the titlebar (with MagicBeacon).
