Also, rather than starting another post...
I have downloaded loads of apps/games in the past ready for this day, I've taken them off the USB stick, however a lot of the files/folders are hidden and I have to show all files to see them (Blender is an example, the whole folder is hidden), including all the lha's on the USB stick and some of the folders within the lha's
If you want to change the default view behaviour for the file browser (for example to show all files by default):
RMB on desktop > Settings > Ambient > Window > View Behaviour
Select Default view mode: 'All files' .
--- Icons
In MorphOS, in common with its Amiga heritage, files are not visible by default unless they have an associated icon.
Icons are seperate files which have the same name, but appended with the extension .info (for example the icon for the file 'foobar' would be named 'foobar.info').
MorphOS native Icon files are actually PNG image files, which also stores any snapshot information, tooltypes etc in the
file header (binary information which is part of the file, but does not contain the image).
MorphOS icons can be edited using Sketch which can be found within the appplications drawer.
MorphOS also supports legacy Amiga icons (and glowicons?) however does not provide editing tools as part of OS for these legacy icons. 3rd party tools are available if required.
