Thankyou from me personally to the MorphOS team, I can't tell you how much enjoyment I get out of using MorphOS as my main operating system. The hours and frustrations you guys must have worked through to make MorphOS available for us deserves more credit than we are able to give as a small community.

    Thankyou. :-)

In that time we have had releases for:

    FrankenAmiga 1200 & 4000
    Pegasus 1
    Pegasus 2
    Efika
    Mac-Mini
    PowerMac G4 (and cube)
    iMac G4
    Powerbook
    iBook
    PoiwerMac G5

Thankyou to Ralph, Genesi and the early MorphOS team who persevered and sacrificed to make this all possible.

Special thanks go to the authors/maintainers of my 10 most used pieces of software n MorphOS:

MPlayer, OWB - Thankyou Fab, these two superstars fulfill my daily needs
Grunch - Thankyou Geit, makes software installation even more of a breeze.
Simplemail - Thankyou Henes, without Simplemail I'd be limited to web-based e-mail.
VNC Server - Thankyou Piru and Jacadcaps, this integrates my three MorphOS machines nicely (minus Powerbook, RIP).
ZVNC - Thankyou Davd, and Jacadcaps for giving it a GUI and fixing for NEWMOUSE.
    VPDF - Thankyou Kiero.
ZoomIt - Thankyou Stefan, although my mac-mini's CPU fan hates you :-) .
MagicBeacon - Thanks again Geit - Simple, lightweight, and AmigaDOS friendly.
Scriba - Thankyou Carsten - I probably don't use it as much as the other software above, but having a native offline word processor is a great development for MorphOS general usage.

And of course for Ambient - the bast desptop I've ever used. And Reggae, which extends its media mandling capabilities massively.

PS - Yes, I know it's not till Thurday 1st, but I'm going to rural France (Cussy-le-chatel, nearish to Dijon) tomorrow morning and will prob be offline for a week.

EDIT: I almost forgot Tcheko's excellent HotBorder which I use continuously to organise my windows. Thanks Tcheko!

But happy birthday and thank you so very much for all the hardwork that is very often denigrated by some.

You really are all the superstar coders in the Amiga scene.

    Thank you again! :)

I think that should be "eMac" instead.

Please send me a reminder mail about ZoomIT.
I've updated it 2 years ago but never release the changed version, maybe it will ease the work on your mini fan ;-)

Happy Bday MorphOS. It was the big jump forward when I finally decided to buy a Mac Mini 1.25ghz back in 2010 to try out MorphOS. Today I have TOO much MOS hardware lol. :)

    x3 MDD G4 Towers
    x4 G5 Towers
    x2 Mac Mini G4 (1.5ghz models.)

And as for spare parts, forget it. Too many to list lol. Look forward to keep using MorphOS.

    heheh I'm the same.

    I've got two MDD G4 PoerMacs, a Pegasos 1, a Powerbook 5,8, a DP G5 PowerMac 7,3 and an eMac.

I might try and get my hands on a Mac Mini at some point as I have the Project Moana OS4 ISO image here and would like to compare it to MOS on the same hardware. :)

I do believe that image of Moana may boot but its pretty much a hacked up incomplete OS. I don't think it would be a fair comparison to OS4. :P

True, but I want to try it at some point just for the sake of it! :)

Who know, if I install the AmiUpdate client it might even patch it up to a fully working version. Unlikely I know but i'd still want to try it. :)

    Moana: OS4.0
    AmiUpdate: OS4.1

Besides, the OS4 update server surely doesn't provide audio drivers, network drivers etc. for Mac mini.

Those years were quite a ride! Got hooked with V 0.4 myself on my A1200PPC. Many things went smoother and I found myself booting more and more into MorphOS. But the big step was when the Pegasos with MorphOS 1.0 was finally available. That was a game changer. We came a long way since and I hope we will see many more birthdays and a few more users.
    Cheers!

    Ermmm...

    -no network driver
    -no USB (outside basic HIDD)
    -no IDE
    -surely no FW either

AFAIR the only way to install SW with Moana is to put it into the ISO before burning it ....

I know more about rocket science than I do about Moana, which isn't very much.
