I believe it can be useful for many users, though.
Same here, I like an uncluttered desktop - no drives, no 'left out' icons (except ones temporarily in use). I do use the 'double click on desktop to show My MorphOS' option though - such quick, easy access to the top-level of the filesystem is very useful.
