All I've seen software like this is used for is stealing.

Well, so we should urge BBRV to not include BurnIT into the superbundle.

After all this is a software that most people also use for stealing....

    Ah, and don't forget FTP-Clients, IRC-Clients, Newsreader.....

OK, I admit, the upper statement is a little bit harsh, but IMHO it's still the user that is responsible for what he uses a particular software.

Hehe, I know this 'excuse' for spreading file-sharing
tools ... But at least the tools you lists started
with another goal and have a purpose.

A friend of mine totally failed to show me the
100ed of songs of independant pop musicans that
have no other way to spread their music ...

    @ Robin,

Of course I know that people have many excuses for using this tools (e.g. to expensive, wouldn't buy it anyway, MI gets to much money...) - but this changes nothing that still the people are responsible for what they do with a certain tool (OK, I know that sounds a lot like some of the guys who build the A-bomb).

Oh, and AFAIK those "file-sharing" tools also originated for sharing "files"; not music, not videos, not pirate copies etc... - well except for the latter one which ony propagate themself for this usage.

I think that a fileshareing tool like edonkey, emule, WinMX or similar it's a must 'to do thing' for MOS. To have one would be another reason for me and many others to turn off the PC...

Sure ppl are responsible for what they do.
But do they act like that ?

    :-) But I confess you're right.
    I'm for a 'free' society,too ... just I wish
ppl would honour their freedom ...

Well, I can think of at least five friends who have bought
PC's in the last year. Every single one of them *without exception*
    wanted them for file sharing.

Software that allows this is essential if MorphOS is ever to attract
    joe average.
