Osx fail to upgrade on dualboot macmini

    Hi folks!

    Osx asks me an upgrade from Leopard.X to Leopard.Y

    Osx says it has to reboot the system to update, and failed (with a bar that does not go forward) I guess that it see the dualboot not being in osx primary bootstrap plant.

    I had a similar problem trying to apply updates on a Powermac MDD dual 1.42GHz (standard single-booting Leopard, no MorphOS installed).
    I ended up reinstalling Leopard and reapplying the updates. That Combo update did take a long time though. I ended up leaving it overnight, and by morning it had automatically rebooted and updated correctly.

    Don't think I ever bothered updating OSX on the mac-mini.

    Has anyone tried segregating OSX onto a firewire drive? Do updates work properly that way or do the 'weird' partitions on the internal drive still get picked up and cause a problem?
    PPC assembly ain't so bad... ;)
