PS4 & Game

  • In the new product release meeting of PS4, , Blizzard released that Diablo 3 is going to land

on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The Game Trials of Diablo 3 PlayStation edition is set to

release on the PAX East Exhibition, which holding on March 22 - 24.

Many players are curious about the matter that what kind of wonderful contents can players

test in PS4. It is no doubt that it is impossible to contain all the contents in PS4, but

Blizzard will release peak level, user-defined monster difficulty, duel, and massive

legendary equipment. So players don't need to worry about the playability.

As a Diablo 3 appreciator, I hope it will run well in the new platform. At the meantime,

being a Guild Wars 2 gold and PS3 lover, I wish Guild

Wars 2 can also become a member of this system. Why not?

Uhh? They did not even show the PS4 and claimed it will be a "supercharged" pc.

So you will get all high end game ports done for XBox and PC unless their developers are stupid or have exclusive contracts.

I disliked the PS3 and the PS4 is just hitting that dislike. Just a PC means they support cheap ports, which in the result causes that most games will never even try to get the best out of the hardware.

Old console philosophy was kind like the C64, where you have this unique hardware and over the years you learned how to get better and better results. Same for the Amiga, the PSX, the PS2 and partly the PS3, even if there the system power was already enough to just port over games from PC without any change.

Of course XBox (and PS4) games will be "high end" only as long as the console is. And considering the development speed on X86/windows desktop (I dislike the wrongly used "PC" term), it won't be that long after the console release. Although I guess lots of games will be "downgraded to PS4/X720 quality", no matter how much better system you have.

Of course the games shouldn't be only (if at all) about "being high end", but what's the need for new consoles then? :-)

Not to mention this looking awfully lot like spam...

Yes it is a spambot but what the hell, lets go for it :)

Back in the day I was skeptical towards PS3 due to its low performance specs and I bought it mostly for mediacenter, but in recent years PS3 have gotten some real nice jewels (apparently tools developers use started to help getting things properly done). For example Uncharted 3 is still the best looking game today, pc platform included.

Will be interesting to see what PS4 has to offer, I won't be first in line to buy one, that's for sure.

I skipped the PS3 and recently decided to skip the PS4 as well, as I got a Wii-U at launch day, which is quite nice. :D

Bah, who has time for games?
Besides, most games aggravate my motion sickness.

The PS4's design is quite uninspired.
The specs are almost interchangeable with the XBOX720.

I also got a Wii U at launch day. To me Nintendo does more with the hardware they have than any other
company. Offscreen play on the Gamepad is a revelation for me since I can carry my gamepad
between upstairs and downstairs without losing a connection or being tied down in front of the TV.
Also man what a great web browser scrolling and zooming with the two analog sticks is great and the
responsiveness and speed is fantastic. I have to admit I haven't been using my computers very much
since it's actually handier to just turn on the WiiU to do some web stuff. Not a big selection of games
out yet but since I don't play 24/7 anymore it's keeping me busy so far. The level of graphics and
gameplay possible with this machine feels just right for a home console to me. I will of course keep
an eye on PS4 and 720 but I am certainly content to keep the Wii U for the next 5-7 years. :-)

Looking forward to Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2 and Zelda WindWaker reborn.
Currently enjoying 'bit.trip Runner2: Future Legend of rythm alien', NinjaGaiden3:
Razors Edge, NSMBU, ZombiU and NintendoLand.
