Nice interview keep them coming, would be nice to have one with Ralph.

"A new API with all the goodies like resource tracking, memory protection
and smp while keeping the good old look and feel of the OS and the apps we
all like and use every day"

Since this new API will break compatibility is it worth learning the AmigaOS API we know now ?
If not then I suppose that you'll to share it long prior release so programmers can adapt their apps.

Another really interesting interview - thank you both.

Re: cpu change, dropping compatibility and the possibility of modern features that are currently difficult or impossible, I'd be interested to know what the MorphOS developers think of HaikuOS. How will their envisioned MorphOS replacement compare?
PPC assembly ain't so bad... ;)

I agree with the others, this is truly an interesting interview, some new info, great insight, and ambitions for the future I totally agree on!

    Glad to read this! :-)

    Who's next? Ralph? Piru?

I have no idea, but he should have a lot of interesting stuff to say in an interview nevertheless! ;-)

These interviews is a good initiative IMHO, keep'em coming!

It seems easier to get an interview with the Yeti than Ralph sadly nowadays.

There are other "relatives" to the Yeti that is easier to get hold on though and there probably be more interesting interviews as time goes by =)

    "0.3 beta"

You speak about MorphOS ? It seems there never be a public 0.3 version (only 0.2 and 0.4).

That'd be amd64. And hopefully MacBooks :) We'd likely need to limit
ourselves to certain hw and a locked system like a Mac means less
variations. Of course it could also be computers built for MorphOS like you
can see with AROS or some other specific laptops.

If the morphOS team decides to go for intel Macs, it will be fun to build some morphOS "hackintosh" to get cheaper and better hardware than Apple's.

I guess so. At least he just replied to someone on the MorphOS ML :-)

Edit: In case someone is interested in the actual interview with jacadcaps, he should look there:

    Great stuff.
We get to hear from Frank every once in awhile.
    Piru occasionally.
    Mark infrequently.

    Nice to hear from Jacek.

I too would like to hear from Ralph.
His work on the kernel sounds fascinating.

Depends on the media. I'd say there are 4:
    1)Mailing list
    2)Morphzone
    3)#morphos irc channel

I'd say 3 is easily the most active, and 1 the least. But usually if there's some more interesting topic, it reaches the others too.
