morphos on powerbooks

    do they think that they might make it work on the lower spec powerrbooks like the 8.3 and such as i have one of these and its faster than my powermac g4?

    While I don't know what "they" think I know that a PowerBook "8.3" model is unknown to me ;-) Do you have a link to its specs?
    Apart from that, in theory every PowerBook G4 generation could be supported by MorphOS, except for PowerBook5,1 and PowerBook6,1 as they came with nVidia GPU only.

    sorry if it sounded off when is said THEY i was meaning the brainier people than me with regard to programming as my limit is cobol.

    I see. Being a good programmer wouldn't suffice though as porting MorphOS to any hardware requires access to the closed MorphOS source code :-)

    Sorry, I can't find any "8.3" model there.

    the only 8.3 ref i can see there if a MacBookPro which is Intel Corei7 based and won't be supported in the next 10 years (or probably never).

    sorry i have noticed that i have stated powerbook 8,3 which is totaly wrong and should have been powerbook5,3 so stupid of me.

    That's fantastic to hear. That would mean Aluminum PowerBook G4 revisions B through D supported (rev A can't be due to nVidia GPU). And then maybe even support for some iBook G4 models in the same release as well :-)
