    Some of these might be stupid questions

    Is there a way to remap the "three finger reboot" to different keys?

    When the adapter arrives, Id like to use an old IBM keyboard (with a PS2 to USB adapter), if that works out. But theres no widows keys on that.

    Any way to show available video RAM at the top of ambient, like old amiga OS did?

    A more application specific question: Any way to get jabberwocky to open URLs in OWB?

    Can I use a normal cheap PCI card to add some USB slots? Will MOS support USB 2 this way ?

    I think thats it for right now...

    Thank you in advance

    Video-RAM :
    - Right-click the screen-depth gadget
    - select modules->graphicsmemory

    Jabber:
    - there is a setting for this in Prefs->System->OpenURL (assuming Jabberwocky supports OpenURL)
    - if not there might a special setting in jabberwockie's settings.

    USB:
    - NEC-based cards are reported to be working best (and yes general PC cards)

    I have a no-name USB in my Quicksilver 2002 and it works flawlessly.

    runequester, just make sure it is a USB2 :-)

    Every cheap Chinese USB2 card that is sold on Ebay as Powermac G4 / OSX compatible card will work in MorphOS.

    Not sure on the keyboard, I use a generic PC-USB keyboard and do CTRL-windows-windows to reset.

    Hotkey to reboot command using mmkeyboard or poseidon. You can also emulate missing command keys.

    As for video ram like on AmigaOS, open screenbar MUI settings and go to Titlebar.

    AFAIK 3-key reset is not changeable without harware modification......but you can use the reset button instead - pins located on motherboard (think you have a Pegasos?)
    Btw.: Why don't you use an new keboard? It's really cheap.......

    New mechanical keyboards aren't really cheap.

    @AmigaHarry2

    Surely no HW involved (why would Mac-HW know about a specific Amiga/MorphOS kex combo)

    Enabling a different KBD-reset might be possible from within Poseidon-config, problem this one wouldn't work when ABox has crashed.

    Changing/disabling the standard one would require access to Quark-sources (atleast thats what I would guess).

    Just a small note. I some application does not support OpenURL, but is able to launch some program, then you can use the "Open" command instead.

    It will use OpenURL on a link and beside that act like you double clicked the file itself. This allows you to use the Ambient/OpenURL setup even with non supporting tools.

    okay, so another question: I was quite pleased to see a version of Angband and Battle for Wesnoth available :)

    I also tried to install ADoom and Aleph One.

    For Adoom, is there a way to get it to open in a window, instead of a separate screen? (the doom window only fills part of the new screen, leaving the rest grey)

    Aleph One will run but it complains it's out of RAM, despite my system being nowhere out of memory. Any suggestions?

    There is 3.06 version available at Aminet. Just few weeks ago I ported newer version and it is almost ready but I forgot it since then... must take a look at it again...

    @Kronos:
    Oh, you missunderstood me.... I thought about a sort of adapter between Keyboard and USB which can translate the propper key-codes......not about a modification of mother-board - this makes no sense, indeed!
    I know that a modification of Quark-Kernel will also solve that, but I dont think MOS-Developers will do.......

    Btw.: I did'nt find a way to change reset-key-combination in Poseidons hid.class.....

    another question: I copied Final Writer over from my amiga, and it loads up fine. However, if I open on its own screen, it only takes up half the screen, with the rest being blank.

    It'll open in workbench (ambient of course, but Final Writer doesn't know that), but that makes the default colour a pretty uncomfortable grey that makes it hard to read. Anyone familiar with Final Writer in MOS, and have some tips on how to make it fit in a little better?

    edit: This might be stupid, but do I need to install something to have opengl/tinygl support, or is that included by default?

    Hmmm.. I haven't had problems it filling the whole screen. Do you try to open it to some screen mode which doesn't exist in your system? Does that mode look good when you test it in Monitors settings in system prefs?

    Choose "Ask at startup" in FW-Project-Preferences (startup). Restart FW. FW will ask you for a screen -> choose a propper screenmodi from list
    The best results with colours you will get only useing a 8Bit-Screen (i.g. 1680x1050x8), because FW can't handle more than 256 colours....
    If FW looks strange nevertheless, then play a bit with screen-colours ins FW-Project-Prefs/Screencolours.....

    If you cannot change Prefs in FW (maybe FW crashes or anything else), then rename FWFiles/FW.prefs to FWFiles/FW.prefs_old and start FW again. Prefs are "reset" now and the screen-requester should appear ......

    If you have found a propper screen, you can fix it in FW-Prefs, useing point "Open new screen" - so you need not choose it every startup....

    Btw. there is a small bug: To use buttons from tools-window , you have to activate window first by clicking to its border. It won't be activated by only clicking in its content.....

    Are you using an Apple Cinema Display? I gave up and went back to a 4:3 display. Life has been a lot easier.

    -Edit-
    Keep in mind at this point in my life I am not a tinkerer. That is why I like MorphOS over the alternatives. I turn it on, it works. I install something, generally it works.

    Yeah the amount of "work" has been pretty low. Grunch helps too :)

    the biggest fuss was hunting down some MUI classes that Yam wanted.

    As far as monitor, its a dell 2320, shared with my 1200. (wonderful beast that monitor is)
