I've tried in 3 different computers (Mac Mini and PC's) to download and burn CD/DVD with ISO image of MorphOS 3.0 and all I get is error messages saying that the file is damaged. What am I doing wrong? Options?

Compare the md5 checksum of the .iso file you have downloaded (you may need to download a tool for your OS to do this) against the md5 on the MorphOS 3.0 download page (above the relevant download link).
If it is different, the file has corrupted during download. Download it again, and check the md5 of the new download.
If it is the same, then something is going wrong in the burning process.

    Regards

I made some progress by downloading a healthy iso image, but now I get a message saying that the file is too big. The CD is blank and is a rewrite-able (RW) CD. Suggestions?

Should only be 210MB-ish (iirc) so no problem fitting on even a standard CD. Does your burning program show 'amount of free space on your blank disk? Try another program or a different blank disk...

Youo need to 'burn image to disc' and select morphos-3.0.iso as the source/image/whatever-your-program-calls-it.
Make sure you don't just copy the .iso onto the CD as a 'file'.

Ignore morphosboot appearing on your desktop, that just means whatever-os-you-are-using has mounted your .iso as a virtual disc, allowing you to see the contents of the .iso as if it were already on a disk in your DVD drive.

EDIT: It's been a while since I used CD/RWs (bring back the floppy disk!), but don't you have to 'Erase' them to free up space, rather than just deleting the existing files?
Whichever-cd-burning-program-you-are-using should list this as an option somewhere if it has correctly recognised your disk as a CD/RW.

OK. Thanks for the help. Where is the link to buy the permanent license? Or where do I find it?

Glad you got it sorted :)

I recommend you download and install Grunch. It's a package manager which does all the hard work for you in finding, installing, and maintaining the software on your MorphOS installation.

There's actually not much software in the Grunch database yet (compared to what's available for MorphOS), but there should be plenty to get you started in terms of what you need.

    If you're new to MorphOS it's a must-have.

I haven't received my activation key, so I hope to receive it tomorrow. I sent an email to the support team earlier today, but no response so far.

I downloaded Grunch follwoing your recommendation, but I don't know in which directory is now or how to install it :-?

Well, lots of today's CDs are extremely low quality, so simply burn them with low speeds (like 4x), and it should be okay, I had the same problems, when i have burnt with maximum writer speeds...

    bye, MarK.

well, You mean, You have downloaded the grunch, but You don't know where it is? By default it's in ram:, simply open the download window, and doubleclick on the grunch downloaded item, it will open, and You can drag files from the archive to another place and install it... Your download path is set (in OWB) in it's settings...

    bye, MarK.
