Hah. I remember back in the 90's when Slashdot used to be a website for people who liked doing fun and/or interesting things with computers.

I'm wondering where they can find machines cheaper than license cost? Many seems to say so. I could buy few extra machines on those prices.

They find all their old and usless top of the range 2 year old PCs in dumpsters and install Debian on them, which unlike M$ WindNoes does not Blue screen of Death ever 23 nanoseconds.

That's how lite they are.

I'm still trying to get my head around the:

1: Why not install an Alternative OS on your equipment it's cool

2: Why install an alternative OS? We already have Linux.

It's either stupidity or hypocrisy. Or some combination of the two. Yes, that seems the mostly plausible.

Or I suppose you could actually believe that Linux on PPC is better than MacOSX, you know, if you're stupid or something.

It seems that the mass media prefer conformity. As I wrote recently, once Apple "dared to be different". However, in reality it was just an advertising slogan to sell more Apple Macs.

As for low cost hardware, as pointed out many times on this forum, you can purchase used mainstream hardware for less that the purchase price of MorphOS (or AmigaOS 4) and then install a version of GNU/Linux for free.
