    (Newbie questions)
One of my biggest hobbies on the pc and amiga has been multi-track music recording. (Bars&Pipes / Cakewalk-Sonar) I'm guessing I can't mount my AD516 sound cards in a pegasos, so what kind of semi-pro software and hardware options are there for recording on Peg/Morph?

"ProStation Audio" comes with the Pegasos as
part of the SuperBundle and is ideal for
    professional multi-track editing. I know
a version of Bars'n'Pipes is being worked
on too, but hasn't been released yet. I
am not really an audio expert so not sure
about hardware, but the built in sound is
    quite nice.

You might want to see my review if you are
new to the Pegasos platform for some
additional info and links too. :)

    Hi !

there is ProStationAudio (PSA) available for free with the SuperBundle (which is free to download, but you can buy it too). have a look to http://www.audiolabs.it/ for more details. It seens very powerful and very professional. But I bet you need a good sound card to have the best of it.

The guy of Bar&Pipes is being working on the MorphOs port as far as I know, but I don't know the status at all.

There is also DigiBoosterPro, which is in Beta stage and will be show at soon at the Benelux Show.

About the AD516, you can mount it if you want, but there is no driver for MorphOS. There is a list of supported hardware here http://www.morphos.net/morphos_hardware.php

In conclusion, PSA for studio, and DigiBoosterPro as tracker. You can also run Bar&Pipes with UAE but it's really not handy !

    Bye

PS: not sure of the meaning of handy, so you may blame me.

Bars'n'Pipes currently runs on PegasosPPC/MorphOS but it's not ready for release yet.

Alfred Faust (the author) has also implemented a Morphos version of camd.library which is also working.

The development is currently such, that BnP can record and playback MIDI trakcs on the Pegasos using a MIDI interface on the gameport :-)

    More news soon!

    Cheers,
    Ron

Handy: easy to get at, nearby. easy to use.
you probably used it correctly, but i suspect you mean Bar&Pipes doesn't run as well as you would expect because it's hasn't been optimized just yet for MorphOS.
anyway, your english is better than some native speakers i've heard! :-D

    @Ron:

Excuse my ignorance but what is camd.library?

    Great news about B&P.

It's a library that takes care of midi communication, in this case software <-> hardware.

The AD515 is a Zorro card (Amigas have zorro slots) so it will not work in a Pegasos, which has PCI slots.
