I just thought it was funny that the head of DiscreetFX was making a comment about it.
I am sure it was his way of joking about the well known "two more weeks" Amiga joke that has been repeated over and over again in the Amiga community. I think he meant that it will be done "when it is done".

And I can't think of any other OS I've ever dealt with that has had such problem free releases. 2.6 and 2.7 were great. I can wait for 3.0.
I couldn't agree with you more. I think part of the delay in the release of MorphOS3.0, is that the MorphOS Dev. Team has set the bar so high for the quality (and mostly lack of bugs) of each of their previous releases of MorphOS, they feel that they cannot now release anything that is less spectacular than the previous releases. I believe that with each release, they push that standard of quality higher and higher, and with the importance of the MorphOS3.0 release not just to the community of MorphOS users, but to a wider audience that will be watching this release probably even closer than any previous release since version 2.3 that introduced support for the first G4 MacMini models. With such a high level of interest in this release and the probability of review(s) by computer enthusiasts from outside our tiny community, it is no wonder that the MorphOS Dev. Team is working hard to make sure that this release is up to their usual high standards, if not even a higher standard. I think this release has special meaning for the MorphOS Dev. Team and there are certain parts of it that they are working on to perfect, instead of succumbing to the pressure of everyone wanting this release, even if it is not quite completed.
I am wanting this release just as much as everyone else, or probably more, since I am dependent on my G4 PowerBook and am not able to use my desktop computers hardly at all right now due to health reasons. But I want it done right and for it to receive all the accolades and appreciation that it deserves when it is finally released to everyone. I hope that it generates many new MorphOS registrations during the first month or two after it's release, to reward the MorphOS Dev. Team for all of their hard work to push this milestone release out to the public and anxiously waiting MorphOS users.
"Just two more weeks!"
