/me carefully tests the ice ...... should carry..... but not very far ....

    - It seems your issue is waking the PB up from sleep-mode.
    - I do have 3 Apple PPC laptops running 10.4 and/or 10.5 none of them has those issues
    - sending an "Amiga"-OS to sleep is not a trivial task, and IMO none thats really needed

    So:

    a) you PBs have an HW-issue which (might or) might not have an effect on MorphOS3.0
    b) you f###ed up OSX in one way or another, why should MorphOS be bothered ?

@Kronos: Do you have a beta MorphOS 3.0 running on your Powerbooks? If yes Do your Powerbooks run "clean" with it?
Would prefer a dedicated PowerBook with MorphOS. On the Mini dual boot is used for printing as well as Flash :-D

@Kronos Initial install was 10.4.2. with correct install disks
There was no problem with powermanagemt upgradiding to 10.5.8 using family version 10.5 led to problem of loss of keyboard and mouse when waking up from sleep. It could be hardware issue of temperature safety sensons on the Powerbook :-D

    @osco,

I have not had any problems with my 15" G4 PowerBook freezing, but I have had some experience with my 17" G4 PowerBook doing that. I think it is from having incorrect RAM module in the second slot and I need to replace it, but have not ordered new RAM yet. I should just remove the second RAM stick and run it with only 1gb of RAM, instead of 1.5gb of RAM, to test if the freezing still occurs.

My 15" G4 PowerBook has never given me any problems with freezing, or needing to be rebooted.

I think you should do a re-install of your MacOSX and software, but test between each new software title that you install, to find out if it is a particular application that is causing the problem.
MorphOS - The best Next Gen Amiga choice.

    Powerbooks are picky with memory.

I had lockups and kernel panics in OSX 10.5.8 until I replaced both memory chips with 2 new identical ones. It is a bad idea to mismatch memory.

    3.1?
I'd settle for Frank and Bigfoot giving us 3d R300 drivers.

Maybe Easter Monday? April Fool's Day wasn't a tempting enough release date, MorphOS 3, rise again on the 3rd day, scoffing Easter eggs might provide a big enough sugar rush for that final development push to finish 3.0 ?
PPC assembly ain't so bad... ;)

This is like waiting for an epic movie to be released.

I truly look forward to 3.0 for many reasons.

    1. I'm trying to move around my house and a laptop will fit nicer into my room.
    2. Browsing on the Peg II is slow.
    3. OS X is total bloatware, my PB 1.67 with an SSD crawls to load the OS and usage is pathetic, my Peg II is so much faster for many operations.

Wish they had a release date like a epic movie... :)...

I think we will be surprised on how many new licenses are sold when it's released. I have lost Amiga friends that went MAC years ago, that will try it.
