Hi. Its My firs topic on this forum then im sorry for any mistakes and enaglish language...

I have a problem with display screen on FullHD TV from My MiniMac...

I did install MorphOS on regular computer Monitor 1280x760... then i connect My mini to 720p TV and Morphos recognize it like (in preferences-Monitors like SAMSUNG) and display correct 1380x768... and now i have a problem with my new TV-Monitor FullHD and its samsung too.

Morphos start coreect but only 1380x768. In preferences Monitors it show "SAMSUNG" and max resolition tu select is 1380x768 nothing more!
I did test tv with pc and its play 1980x1080 correctly...

Now id star Morphos from CD and instalation automaticly turn on screen in FullHD! 1920x1080!

Why my HD MOS dont want switch to FullHD and it not recognze/found bigger recolution like 1440x900 or 1680x1080 but MOS form CD shows all available resolutions...

Even id try remove ddc.library from MorphOS: and it not help :(

    What to do ?

P.S. sorry for my pure english...

P.P.S. Right now i scrueup somethong and i save some setups with some resolution and MorphOS dont want display nothing :(
From CD works. What file saved resolution setups ???

    Hi MaveRickPL,

    Welcome to Morphzone :-)

envarc:sys/screenmode.prefs stores the monitor resolutions iirc. Try booting from the CD and renaming this to any.thing before rebooting from the hard drive.

You may want to restore ddc.library to its proper place also :-)

    Best regards

That'll teach me to look at the post count, rather than misinterpreting the content of the post :-)

    I get it !

    THX boot_wb! U benn close.

If enybody will have a problem (if U connect MOS to too many monitors) it will make a mess in prefs catalog but this one:

MOSSYS:Prefs/Presets/Monitors - just remove every prefs... here are collect all setups with monitors what was connect Your computer.

    Thanks

I had the exact same problem, couldn't set 1680x1050, was informed to delete prefs-file and reboot.. after that MOS set 1680x1050 as default and all was fine. My MacMini was also connected to some other monitor before heading my place.

I don't think this has been a correct move.. Can someone from the MorphOS Team confirm or disprove this please?

If it help i can confirm once again.

Problem is with LCD/LED TVs. First i connected Mini with Samsung 23" and MOS saved in SAMSUNG.prefs
When i connect Mini with Samsung 46" its start problems... it start use same prefs - MOSSYS:Prefs/Presets/Monitors/SAMSUNG.prefs.

Beafore i connected Mini with Dells monitors and every prefs file was name like model number (1908WFP.prefs, 2407WFP.prefs, 2707WFP.preft) but TV not.

I have understood that it worked, but I know that nothing in MOSSYS: should be touched..

In every case I've just checked my system and it seems that the monitor preset are located in SYS:Prefs/Presets/Monitors and not in MOSSYS:Prefs/Presets/Monitors..

I read the thread, and wanted to know more of the issues, as i'm having certain video issues mith my morphos 3.o install. I had it connected to a 19 monitor and all was fine, but recently, i moved the mini to a 22 lcd tv and when booting the first time, i get the upper of the screen with the bottom, separated by the top bar. If i go to settings and change the res. it goes ok. But seems to happen on every reboot. Also during the installation of morphos 3.0, i had this strange video behaviour. My mini has 1gb ram and 32mb ram. I always had it with no probs on the other monitor.

Check TV setups and manuals. TV should remember screen resolution setup fot every connection cables aux units etc.
If its cheap TV its normal. You can not do nothing with that :(

Did You chceck prefs file your tv here in Your MOS:
    SYS:Prefs/Presets/Monitors
Did mos save any tvfile.prefs ?

What cable did You use to connect Your tv and monitor?

I'm using the same vga cable i use on the rest of my computers. The only difference is that when connected to the previous monitor, it was via dvi, and now i'm using vga. I used also vga in the previous monitor without problem.
I looked at the files you suggested, and i see a file called "22W LCD-TV", that is the one i´m using right now. There is another called "SDM-E96D" from my other monitor, a sony. And there is also several files called only Monitor-31khz
    Monitor-48khz
    Monitor-64khz
    Monitor-38khz
    Monitor-57khz
I never used these, i suppose they were done by mos3.

I had Dell monitors and Morphose recognize it like Dell and saved prefs in dell file name...
My TV is Samsung (beafore 26" now bigger) and MOS recognize both like Samsung. I want say only MorphOS recognize it very good.
Now i remember i stretch screen to frames manual in TV setups ... Do it self maybe and TV will remember it...
DVI and VGI is hugh diferent!
