Too bad that MorphOS is not a "*nix" ;-)

The PowerUP accelerator boards were only released 3 years after Commodore went bust.

I think it was more about licensing the OS than buying it.

I'm not aware of any CPU clock frequency restrictions. MorphOS' requirement with the PowerMacs is the AGP slot, so the slowest supported model is the 350 MHz "Sawtooth" (AGP Graphics), which is a fact you still knew only
2 weeks before.

There's no 1109 model. I guess you mean 1106 instead.

1106 comes as 1.67 or 1.5 GHz, and both of them are to be supported.

Not true. MorphOS also supports (in 2D mode) Rage 128 cards many of those older systems (i.e. pre-QuickSilver) came with.

And even then they may decide to not pursue the G5 road:
"
Power Mac G5, we'll see if it's worth to support them or not."

This is the most recent statement of a MorphOS Team member regarding G5 support that I'm aware of.

Almost. MorphOS 2.0 was released 3.5 years ago.

You make it sound like MorphOS is the only OS still supporting G4 Macs, which is far from the truth. Various Linux and BSD distributions are still being developed for PPC Macs, including G4 ones.
