So tell us guys how are all of your exotic sportscars you purchased with all that morphos registration monies? I hear BMW is the prime choice for the team, but apparently there are a couple of guys who dont even drive??

I know AT LEAST one of them Lives with HIs Parents. I can say that with 100% certainty.

What is the purpose of this thread?

1400 x 111 euros = 155,400 euros which is probably enough for one Maserati or three nice BMW's, but since there are 19 MorphOS Development Team members, and it is the only money they have charged from the users for the past 10+ years it looks something like this:

155,400/19/10=< 817.89 euros per year each

You want to put in the number of hours that they have during each of those years for less than 818 euros per year?

Okay, some of those licenses were charged 150 euros, not 111 euros, it still does not make the yearly income for any of these developers equal to one weeks salary that a good programmer gets these days.

Accusing the MorphOS Developers of all driving expensive luxury cars with the money they have made from selling MorphOS licenses is insulting when the real facts are that they have barely made enough money to buy them some pizza and beer.

True, as the graph shows, about 460 of those licenses went for 150 EUR.

According to my last reserved news, the Dev Team bought a super-camper due to wander in the north-east Europe forests to boldly go on developing MorphOS, trying not to be captured from obscure forces responsable of interferences with Dev Team mission. This is a photo of above mentioned camper:

I wouldn't mind if you waste your energy on aw.net if you can only come up with barely funny "jokes" like this here ....

At least your kind of math doesn't really work. I can definitely confirm that if most of the team members wouldn't work for free, MorphOS even wouldn't be there where it is now. The biggest part of all the money received via registrations probably went to the tax authorities, anyway, Paypal being the third biggest shareholder. This is just a wild guess, though. Consider it a joke if you want...

I don't see any of the MorphOS Dev. Team members laughing about it.

Also, IIRC, this is not your first negative comment (joke) about where the income from the MorphOS registration fees is spent.

If you really meant it as a HARMLESS joke, then forgive my reaction to it. I did not think it was funny at all, as there was no context provided that made it funny.

Mags, an apology means one acknowledges he or she did something wrong and will try not to do it again. Is that what you're doing?

Mags, your original post here seems like sarcastic and belittling stuff to me, which would mean you did something wrong. I'm saying that it's not an "apology" to acknowledge someone took something wrong, it's an apology if you acknowledge you did something wrong.

But I'm in your corner either way.

I think that's not Krashan but Chain-Q, who I believe is not a MorphOS Team member.

I actually wonder what business people have with what people do with the money they got from selling them something. As long as I get what I paid for they can do whatever they like with it as far as I am concerned.

That said I prefer BMW anyway, eighties 5-series in particular. :-)

... and yes I understand the sarcasm and do not feel anyone should apologize .

Unfortunatly my wallet isn't big enough for one of those if you can even find one in good condition these days. So for now I stick with my 520i E28. With a little luck I can source a good M535i next year.
