I should not have repeated that in public (as I have a bad habit of mentioning things that should be kept confidential).
But it was mentioned, and I've leave it to any of the developers that would like to comment on it (or not).

With 3.0, you get improved R200 drivers.
Eventually you'll get an improved R300 driver.
    After that....

    Thanks Andreas,
Now i know why the developers keep such tight lips.

Yes, that's what I aimed at.

Thanks for pointing out that I've got a BIG mouth Andreas.
Post altered to stick to generally known facts.

My apologies Frank, Mark, and Michal.

That was not my intention. I'm genuinely interested to hear from MorphOS Team members about shader support being planned or not. *That* is what I was aiming at.

Oh, I wouldn't mind hearing about that either.

I just didn't want to sound like I was assured that something would happen that was only speculated upon.

I've done that too much recently (ie - everyone assuming R400 support was inevitable - its NOT, its just a possibility discussed).

The developers all have full time jobs AND they've been kind enough to give us what they have. I'll continue to take what's offered as its been damned good so far.

    I know we're now discussing version 3.0, but I've got a question.
Has any consideration been given to developing drivers for other SATA controllers besides the Silicon Image SiI3x1x two-port cards?
I can't find a card based on those chipsets that will boot a Mac.
You can get drivers to allow access, but they don't work as a boot drive.

Now boards based on the Sil3x2x, that would work and could be booted from.
