    Nearly all, more or less high quality, monitors nowadays have as standart at least sRGB color calibration included (I do not have one single one here which does not have this feature). sRGB calibrates the monitor with a gamma 2.2 at 6500K. Also nearly all, if not all, digital cameras are sRGB color calibrated! Which means that when you open an image you took with your digital camera with sRGB calibration on your monitor which displays the image as sRGB you can really see how the picture was taken and then when you print this image with a printer which takes icc profiles into account then you really get an output which reflects what you see on the screen, and that's the final idea, isn't it?
