Nice effort, but considering Facebook is a partially CIA (for reference reasearch the VC firm "k-tel") financed operation, with the goals of data mining the world and appropriating people's content as there own I highly doubt i'll be involved. I also read an article where they will be using people's facebook pics as the data set for the new facial recognition machines to be deployed in transportation stations! ONCE YOU POST A PIC ON FACEBOOK YOU NO LONGER HAVE RIGHTS TO THAT IMAGE. THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT WITH IT.

Another conspiracy theory. Anyone can take a photo of you (you may be even not aware of it), and guess what, you have no rights to this photo. And even if CIA recognizes that I've entered a bus of line 19 today at 7:00 AM (I'm sure they photographed the event from a spy satellite), then what? I do it every working day anyway.

Not really the same. If someone shots a portrait of me he/she cannot do anything publically with that picture w/o my permission. If I put up a portrait of mine to facebook, fb can do with that picture whatever they want. If they launch a new campaign featuring my picture I cannot do anything against it. With signing the EULA I gave FB my permission. I gav eup my exclusive right.

I consider facebook as problematic and hence will not join. I am not afraid of the CIA or conspiracy, but that place (fb) is just too dangerous/uncalculatable.

I live in the UK probably one of the biggest users of CCTV in the world. They reckon living in a city in the Uk that on average you will be filmed or photgraphed on average 350 times a day.

I think MorphOS is the only Amiga clone that has a browser that supports Facebook.

I know the site is lame, but it makes it better knowing there are a ton of MorphOS users on there. Now it serves more of a practical purpose besides watching all my long lost relatives post their Farmville stats. :)
