I hope you forgive me a non-MorphOS posting, but at least this is an off-topic group, and I hope to reach most Pegasos users in this forum. ;-)

NetBSD/ofppc supports the Pegasos2 hardware perfectly since quite some time (including Firewire, Gigabit ethernet, etc.). Since last month it also supports RDB partitions, to allow users to run MorphOS and NetBSD in parallel on the same disk (in different partitions).

Something which was never tested is to run it on a Pegasos1. To find out how much work is needed to support the hardware it would be great when there are Pegasos1 users who have some time and interest to try it out, and are skilled enough to analyze and describe the problems they encounter.

Anybody who is interested can mail me. I will provide them with recent bootloaders and test kernels.

slightly off-topic, but your PEGASOS 1 question actually makes me wonder how much of these are still used for MorphOS.

well, i have two pegasos1 machines, but now only one has registered MorphOS 2 key... anyway the machine is really okay for standard usage... only the OWB should support flash streams, as my parents used it, and later i gave them a mini mac g4/1.25, and they say it's much much slower with macosx 10.4, than the peg1 with mos 2.6... only they couldn't watch video streams with peg...

    bye, MarK.

I still have my Peg1 with MOS. I use it less since I have a powermac, but it is still up to date. I though some times of installing linux on it, but... its a nice machine to spoil it that way xD its better with morphos xDD...
