Any progress on security/privacy?

I was wondering if any progress has been made to make MorphOS more secure? Whole disk encryption. Secure login. That kind of thing.

Pending login/disk encryption built-in support is there a way to jury-rig it with 3rd party mods/apps?

And, yes, I've already heard the "look elsewhere" response for such features. Please be kind.

    Thanks in advance!

While whole *system* disk encryption isn't possible, you could easily put larger parts of the system installation on an encrypted partition and just put Kryptos before IPrefs in the startup-sequence. You can easily encrypt a non-system disk with MorphOS using Kryptos (our TrueCrypt port).

Proper secure login is not possible in a shared-memory environment like MorphOS, there is however a legacy filesystem that lets you have a login atleast (though it's hardly secure in any shape or form).

For disk encryption there is, as jaca mentioned, Kryptos, which is very good, though all the same security precautions as in TrueCrypt apply (though naturally not the pagefile nor hibernation leaks, so encryption of system partition is not strictly required).

Or use DIL, which also has encryption and other features.

I am very happy with it.
    Its more flexible than Kryptos

i remember a feature in 15(?) years old multi user file system, that allowed to login, and after the login a hidden directories/files appeared on the disk... this would really satisfy my needs...
