Since mos 1.4, my JPEG photos comming from my USB photo camera are no more reconized.
Before 1.4, mysticview could see all my photos.
Now, it tells me "unknow format".
When I try to use one of them in ambient-Background, mos prefs tells me "file type unknow".
All other jpeg files works fine.
So is there something different betewen mos1.3 and 1.4 datatypes?
Can I use other WARP datatypes?

I'd say: just try it!!

Rename the datatypes in MOSSYS: and copy the datatypes you want to try into SYS:Classes/Datatypes and Devs:Datatypes.
If it doesn't work...at least you've tried it

Hm, I just looked at it and the jfif.datatype of MOS1.3 and MOS1.4 are
the same.

However the picture.datatype has changed and the descriptor for JFIF
also.
Maybe this is the reason MOS1.4 does not recognize your pictures any
more.

If you have a photo which you dare to send me I would like to try them
here - just for verification.

Hi all,
JPGs also dont work all the time here now either.
If I load SGrab up and try to grab files as JPGs then it says "please install jpeg.library and restart SGrab" so something is obviously broken in the datatypes of 1.4

Did you try to boot from MOS1.4 CD and look if the
jpgs work then?
Here all jpgs (from USB-cam, too) work...

Yes, this is here the same. Grab PNGs and there are no problems....
The only jpg.library I found is 6.2. And this one hangs
here....
So a question to people whose PerfectPaint works:
Which jpeg.library do you have?

I had the WOS-jpg.library6.2 in LIBS:
68020-version works with SGrab ;)
Anyway I still grab PNGs....
PerfectPaint anyway still refuses to work here....
Doesn't even open its screen.....
