    what adjustment can I make to the configs in uae so I can get 2player going. I tried adjusting the arguments, but I wasn't successful
    changing the default below for mouse to joy0 cost me mouse use.
    joyport0=mouse
    joyport1=joy1

    any ideas?

    running in a1200 set-up

    use the joystick or keyboard to control the emulator?

    fragment of the original instructions

    joyport0 = <mode>

    Selects the method used emuLate the device is attached to the Amiga
    joystick port 0 (the mouse port).
    none - no device is Connected to this port.
    mouse - a mouse will be emulated on this port and input will be supplied to
    from the host's default mouse (the device you use to move the
    mouse pointer on the host).
    joy0 - and the joystick will be emulated on this port and input will be supplied to
    from the first joystick found on the host.
    joy1 - and the joystick will be emulated on this port and input will be
    is supplied from the second joystick found on the host.
    kbd1 - and the joystick will be emulated using the numeric keypad (8, 2, 4 and
    Six directions are up, down, left and right, respectively, and 5 is
    the fire button).
    kbd2 - and the joystick will be emulated using the cursor keys and the Right Ctrl
    key or Right Alt key for the fire button.
    kbd3 - and the joystick will be emulated using the keys T, B, F and H for up
    Down, left and right, respectively, and the Left Alt key for the
    fire button.

    joyport1 = <mode>
    Selects the method used emuLate the device is attached to the Amiga
    joystick port 1 (the joystick port). Supported values are for the <mode>
    same as for the joyport0 = option.

    @xyphoid

    Joyport0=joy0 would be fine. And it means that just like on a normal amiga, you plugged a joystick on mouse port, so you don't have mouse control anymore.

    And if it doesn't work, check that your second joystick in configured to use lowlevel unit 0, in poseidon prefs, in your joypad hid settings.

    I need a set up which will allow me to choose (move) the pointer, to select on wb, then play the game in 2 player mode with joystick for 2nd player. If i do
    joyport0=joy0
    joyport1=joy1
    There is no mouse and no keyboard mouse key movement either. (amiga+direction arrows)

    @fab,
    settings were ok in poseidon, but I saw turbo mouse unchecked, so I'll try that at 125Hz
    it appears you can't assign more than one value
    joyport0=mouse
    joyport0=joy0
    so I'll see about the tourbo mouse setting. Previously, the joypad was active on wb, but wouldn't move enough to select anything.

    no difference, just like plugging the joystick in mouse port on amiga. little movement(pointer shake), but not enough to do anything. pressing button 2 on the joypad flips to menu bar, so buttons are ok, but pointer movement is the issue

    Well, that's "normal", yes. The thing is you can "hotplug" on an amiga, but not in uae, apparently :)

    You can always use amiga+cursor to run your game.

    /me runs
