Happy Birthday Amiga! Wish I had been able to make it to one of the shows, even the CommVex show in Las Vegas had some original Commodore Amiga employees in attendance this weekend.

What is the official birthday of MorphOS? It is over 10 years old now, isn't it?

I think MorphOS was officially released on 4th August 2000, but better check web.archive.org on morphos.de to be sure, but soon 10 years, indeed. :)

    [EDIT]
Ok, the site tells 1st August 2000, actually :)

Is there anything planned for "one decade MorphOS"? ;-)

Sure, plan is to keep on writing classy software for the best possibly available hardware!

Happy anniversary Amiga. Long live the brand.

Yes, I agree that the MorphOS 10th Anniversary is almost as significant as the Amiga's 25th Anniversary and certainly deserves a celebration!

G4 PowerMac and/or PowerBook support release would be an even better 10th Anniversary present......... hint, hint.

Great work Team, keep it going!

Edit: I will again be attending AmiWest this October and will take my 1.5GHz G4 MacMini running MorphOS2.5 (or what ever the current version is at that time) to demonstrate at the show. If anyone has a G4 eMac with MorphOS2.5 installed on it, registered or not and can make it to the AmiWest show, I'll share my table space with you to display your eMac running MorphOS as well as my Mini.

Okay, I stand corrected then. Seems I'm not the only one remembering it wrong:

"MorphOS 0.3 followed in October 2000"
    http://www.ann.lu/comments2.cgi?view=1070824827&category=forum

"It was summer 2000 when i installed morphos 0.2 on my amiga"
    http://www.ann.lu/comments2.cgi?show=1072996062&category=news&number=107#comment

    "MorphOS 0.2 premiere version publique (1er aout 2000). MorphOS 0.3 "Release 2" (17 octobre 2000)."
    http://obligement.free.fr/articles/debutermorphospegasos.php#1.1

"La toute premiere version publique de MorphOS (version 0.2)..."
    http://obligement.free.fr/articles/actuenbref07082000.php

"La seconde version beta du systeme d'exploitation PowerPC MorphOS (version 0.3)..."
    http://obligement.free.fr/articles/actuenbref09102000.php

One more thing: Was MorphOS 0.8 really released? I think it was only demonstrated to the public. Or was it released for PowerUP and only demonstrated on Pegasos?

Andreas Wolf : I have fixed all wrong dates in Obligement. Back to Luky's chronology.

BTW, in a MorphOS 0.4 review, there is a mention of "MorphOS 0.3 from december 2000" : http://www.amigazette.org/numero_13/morphos.html
I think this 0.3 version is the famous "non released" one.
