Upgrading to version 2.5 of the os

    Hello i habe been out of the amiga for a few months as work have increased, and stumbled that a new version was released. How to upgrade to 2.5 from 2.4?. Is any advice needed?. I have mac mini and registered 2.4.

    From: Germany
    download and boot from 2.5 iso and choose "Update" from the installer.

    If your Mac Mini is set up to boot directly into MorphOS, you probably need to set it back to MacOSX as default boot first.
    If not you might get an error message when booting from the 2.5 install CD.

    Alternatively you can hit cmd-opt-o-f (win-alt-o-f) and then in openfirmware write:
    Code:

    boot cd:\mac_ppc32\boot.img

    Should i worry about partitions or such?

    No, the installer will update only the MorphOS directory on the system partition and the boot.img file on the boot partition, keeping the backup of the older ones.

    Ok, i booted with c key pressed and disc booted ok. Clicked on upgrade and then rebooted.?Now i have my system updated with 2.5. Good work from the dev team as installation was with no problems.
