The output to the console is so much that the scroll can't go back to the beginning of the output.
    :-?

You mean scrollback buffer? Go to Global MUI prefs from Ambient menu, expand class view to display all MUI classes and select PowerTerm. There is scrollback buffer setting which defaults to 1024 lines but you can expand buffer to have more lines or have unlimited scrollback buffer.
    1 + 1 = 3 with very large values of 1

What is the exact path to this setting? How do you get to the GLOBAL MUI settings? The ambient menu? Tried but no find path? :-?

MMmmmm Itix did explain it quite nicely ....

Select Setting -> MUI (this is your global MUI)

On the left you should see a list of classes (Screen,Window,Groups ...)

Below that frame is a button labeled "more" click that

More classes should appear, one of them should be "PowerTerm" click that

Now you see the options for PowerTerm-class (which is the base for the MorphOS-Shell).

There you will find options for the Scrollback buffer, change those click save ;)
