    Hi Cego!
    Yo can find MenGUI here: http://morphos.lukysoft.cz/en/vypis.php?hledat=mencoder
    It's an early (and I guess unique?) version but works fine!

    Take a look here too: http://jahjah.free.fr/morphos/mencoder.tar.gz
    Inside the mencoder folder there is a file called"gui". It should be a "DIVX encoder GUI" (as window title shows) but I can't say anything since I've never used..

    Hi,

    such a GUI is really missing IMO! It would really be worth to have such an MUI based GUI because files need to be converted from one format to another to either be nicely playable on MorphOS, either on other OS's... Sometimes only bitrate reduction need to be done, to faster transfer the video and/or audio files, or container format change, or vcodec change, etc.

    Mencoder can't convert audio files. Well, it actually does, of course, but its output formats are for video (AVI by default). There are kludges to get around this, but its far from elegant.

    Can't you use a player that understands WMA, and forget about transcoding altogether?

    What tools do we have for audio transcoding?

    With MENCODER it is only possible to extract and encode to mp3 from any video-file:

    mencoder <Videoname> -ovc raw -of rawaudio -oac mp3lame -lameopts vol=<k>:cbr:br=128 -o <file.mp3>

    where k is a boost-factor for loudness (1-10). but: too much boost will give poor sound....in most cases let it k=1.....
    Bitrate=128

    A good working GUI solution in the past was Devedie http://www.amirus.org.ru/files/devedie_1.1.3.lha but unfortunately this was only working with Mencoder up to 0.91 AFAIR.
