    Hello,

I'd like to remind all linkedin.com members that there's AMIGASCENE group dedicated to Amiga past/future issues.

It is the largest on linkedin (205 members already), next two toppest hits have 80 and 70 members, respectively.

It is also a nice way to group some professionals out there under Amiga keyword.
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
    Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

Actually I looked into search results and the said AMIGASCENE group is quite big, next Amiga-related group consists of 51 members as far as I remember.

Yesterday and earlier today I discussed a bit MorphOS in that group. I actually just learned about Mac Mini support yesterday and I hope to install it over the weekend for the first time... Looking forward to it!

Yeah, we are all annoyed by these social networking sites sometimes. I try to make my internet footprint really small. No twitter, no facebook, no myspace, no youtube... LinkedIn is the only social networking site I use and it's actually pretty clean. It's oriented more towards business users and I find it great for keeping all professional connections on one place.

I haven't noticed much spamming going around on LinkedIn, the moderated groups are pretty clean (I moderate two groups) and people cannot send you unsolicited email without either using referral from one of your connections or paying to LinkedIn for it so it seems that those things limit them...

Quite the opposite really. I haven't had one single email from LinkedIn which was not appropriate. On top of that I have found lost friends using the marvellous "find companies" feature. Fuck facebook and similar, LinkedIn is actually usefull.

100% agree. Besides, we need to get together, only viral information spread is possible in Amiga World, let alone the MorphOS alone.

    EDIT* typ0

Well, there is now a MorphOS group as well. Feel free to join and expose yourself as a butterfly fan to your professional contacts ;-)

    Great will do now!

Cool, you either pre-approved me or you are incredibly fast :-)

What do I get as the first member? A free MorphOS licence? 8-)
