    Well one way to send a user a private message is to click on the "PM" button at the bottom of a post they have made (you need to be logged into do this of course). Alternatively you can select "Send Private Message" from the user menu to the left then select "Write a PM down" to select the user you wish to send a message to.

    I was reading the abbreviation "pm" as post meridian and not as "private message" I think it worked and I am waiting for a reply..
