Yes, but don't ask me how. My good friend, Tim Waite, who went with me to the AmiWest 2009 Show this year used his cellular service and a laptop wireless phone card to set up and serve through a switch, or router a wired LAN which was connected to several of the computers at our table and the Amiga Game Competition table. We had a better network connection to the Internet than most, or all the rest of the people at the entire show, due to some problems the show organizers were having periodically with the hotels network connection and wiring.

Maybe this is not what you were asking about, but it seems to me that you should be able to set up your wireless phone as a host connection with the right wiring to connect it to a switch, or router and then just use a standard Ethernet cable from the switch, or router to your MorphOS computer.

I think that the actual question is about a mobile phone able to run MorphOS. Well I have seen the pictures, read about this mobileGT project but still I got no clear info of which cell phone is able to run MorphOS and / or to accept a kind of Genesi Firmware getting the ability to run MorphOS.

Would love to have some more info about it. Would love to have MorphOS on a cell phone!!!!

For the case that our friends wants to use a cell phone as a Internet connection device through MorphOS... Well never tried it.

Yes, it is possible, at least when you cellphone connects to the serial port. I've used GPRS connection with Sagem my5-x cellphone. To do it one has to deactivate MorphOS built-in TCP/IP stack and install Miami. Then PPP over serial port connection should be created with proper modem init string.

There exist certain WiFi routers that also connect to 3G mobile networks, thus acting as a bridge. Thety can be used to conenct to the internet, wired or wireless, in places where only 3G is available.

    I don't think so.

The only cell phones with a MobileGT CPU I know of are these (still just announced):

    http://www.limepc.com/mobile.shtml

These are btw also the only cell phones I know of with Power Architecture CPU.

But the fact that MorphOS runs on certain MobileGT CPUs (MPC5200, MPC5200B) doesn't mean that it runs on the whole MobileGT CPU range (like for instance the MPC5121e, which is used in the cell phones linked to above) without adaption. And even if MorphOS ran on the MPC5121e it wouldn't mean it runs on every device with MPC5121e without adaption. The same applies to the Firmware.

    About what exactly?
