Has anyone else had trouble updating to 2.4 on their Efika?

At startup now, I get a requester asking me to insert usbscsi0.

When I click on cancel, the Efika appears to double-boot before Ambient appears and I only have about 47mb RAM left.

I thought when I first updated to 2.4 I did not have this problem and I had gained a few mb of RAM, as it was showing 101mb free. I don't know what has changed to cause this and I wonder if installing some software at the AmiWest 2009 Show could have caused this problem?

Running OWB (Efika version) to type this I only have 14mb RAM free and I can type much faster that my display is updated? I may have to do a clean install, but would rather not lose my setup and have to install all the programs and configure IBrowse and some other programs all over again.

Edit: I opened a shell and typed "avail flush" and it did not increase my RAM at all.

Edit2: I am starting to worry that more than half my onboard memory is trashed. That would be a disaster for a machine that already has too little RAM. I did a complete install on a clean partition and it has made no change, except it is not asking me to insert volume usbscsi0 anymore. Any suggestions on which program to use to test the RAM on my Efika? If the OS can't see the RAM, how is any program going to see the missing RAM?
