Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
    Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

That would be great idea to show our great MorphOS to few more people. For example ready to sell Minimorph on pianetaamiga would be nice ;)

I did not realize that the MOS team had a hobbit/dwarf/"Mini Guy" working with them???

Perhaps he is too shy to attend public shows and prefers to remain anonymous.

No team members coming, and this is quite understandable since no team member is from Italy, and unless someone wants to have a vacation in Italy it doesn't make much sense to spend the money for a small show with no expected revenues.
As a consequence, no MorphOS on MacMini demo for us (lucky Polish, German and French users!).
I should be there with my machines, just like it happened various times in the past, but this is going to be somewhat interesting mainly for those that do not have a MorphOS machine at hand.

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

    @guruman

Well, you could have used it for an opportunity to launch, demo, hype, (and sell) MorphOS on Mac Mini.

    IMHO.
    A4000/060/PPC-200MHz, A4000T/060/PPC-233MHz, CD32, MicroA1, Pegasos 2 G4, AMD Phenom Quad Core 2.5GHz, MacMini 1.5GHz/64MB VRam...mwwmwahhh :)

HammerD: that's the good point. Morphos and Mos Team seems to be more kind of underground.

Well, it has been shown at different parties already. It's just (like guruman stated) that there's no morphos team member in Italy, which makes it somewhat harder.

Well, I am from Italy, I have a Mac Mini and could show a beta. Sadly (if I manage to have some spare time), I'll go to Empoli only for a couple of hours Saturday morning. Otherwise, a demo could have been arranged -with the Dev Team blessing...

Ok,the ones that understood from this message that Mi-Go is a MorphOS betatester, and had MorphOS 2.4 on MacMini and was not asking for a beta, rise your hands... :-P And consider that he lives at something like 50km from Empoli, and I drove 270km (+270km back) just to bring and show the public MorphOS 2.3 on my Peg2 and Efika...

Bottom line: may the spirit of Alfie (wherever he is now) find you and hunt you for the nights being!

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

Due to translation to English, I think the misunderstanding probably was more likely.

I could see how you might take his message the wrong way, but when I first saw it, I thought it was NOT from someone who was a beta-tester, or MOS dev team member.

Uhm, the point is that he *IS* a betatester, that left a MacMini with working MorphOS on it at home, 50km from Empoli ;-)

    Kind regards,

    Maybe a nick-driven misunderstanding: on IRC I'm kr1st0...
Anyway, I asked on #amigaita who was coming to PA and sadly guruman didn't read the message (marrano! :-P) so I thought I would have been the only butterfly supporter in Empoli.
With just two hours available and a not yet tested beta (the first one running on my mini was dated 24.09), that wasn't much.

But guruman did a great job showing MorphOS and revealed to be a nice guy, so... next time you can sleep at my place, instead of driving that much ;-)

Oh, I see more clearly now. That is a shame that he did not bring his MacMini and show the beta at the show.

I wish I were a beta tester and could show the beta at the AmiWest show next month.
