Someone help me out with a simple mimetype or whatever command for this. Occasionlly, I get .docs and would like to open them from owb.
Is there anyother viewer, with may display the graphics? Too much to ask. Uploading to Google takes too much time (and mem.! :-))

    Maybe:

    Mime type: text / doc
    Extension: doc
Action: external viewer (or what you prefer)
Viewer: (path were Antiword is)/Antiword - %f (in the following box)

    I guess it should work.

EDIT: antiword has to be configured (there are many switches) and I don't know how to do...
So, that's an idea but it needs more setting... =(

    Tested a little more:

    Mime Type: text /* doc
    Extension: doc
Action: external viewer (or ask, as you like)
    Viewer: (your directory):antiword -f -i #80 ( next box): %f

As the explanations doc is not so clear, (I mean, no pratical example for a newbie like me)
I tested and with this command/mime I'm able to read .doc texts.
I don't know if images will be diaplayed (though the "-? #0" is a switch for images)
    but reading a text works.
The strange thing is that everytime antiword open a text, it shows in the top the "I can find the name of your HOME directory" prompt.
I don't know where is this directory, nor I solved the "problem" creating one and naming it "HOME".
I'm going to read the docs again... :-)

    @ C64 Days
ok thanks for the tip, it is smoother, but I guess I can't configuree owb to pull up a doc without d/l to ram first
I did a context which will pull it up after d/l tor ram. Anyone know a one step process?

Don't worry mate, every browser does that... or worse, downloading to disc instead or memory.
If you thought they didn't download first, that's because they hide that step (very windowesque behaviour), putting the file in a non-obvious place (check your "%TEMP%" folder in Windows, but take a deep brath first).
Be sure the file has to be downloaded. Otherwise, it would be streaming...
