hm. strange. I think, I've just have downladed the image from the official ubuntu page:

either this:

or this:

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/ports/releases/8.10/release/xubuntu-8.10-alternate-powerpc.iso

but I can't remeber exactly. It's already too long ago

However, both should work but you need the boot-image from:

http://genesi.hu/ubuntu/

Otherwise, it will not work. Maybe, you not even need the cd images because the genesi-linux-installer downloads everything from net? Damn, I should have written down the details to help updating the PegII docu.
