While the efforts are great (for both AROS and Icaros) I found Icaros very unstable compared to even old versions of MorphOS and with running a small fraction of the applications.

The advantage is that you can run it on any x86 able to run a VM. I play with it during my train commute which is something I definitely cannot do with MorphOS.
Unfortunately in a VM you are limited to unaccelerated graphics, no sound (no driver yet for the VMware virtual audio), both of my CPU cores going up to 80% of utilization when running some of the provided software that took only a few percent of my Pegasos CPU.

I have decided that a MacMini running MorphOS will be my next computer when I can afford it. I see MorphOS as the best Amiga OS :)

Hey Pampers, nice advice there! I don't drink or smoke anyway, but to be honest the only way I'll afford new hardware right at the moment is if I stop eating and using electricity too! Some day things will pick up though :)

Nice to have you join us Cammy. Hope things pick up for you so you can afford to buy your MacMini by the time MorphOS is released for it, but then that could be a long time from now, since we have no predictions from anyone that really knows how close it is to being finished.

I see some NEW names pop up here lately, which is only good! I think it would be interesting to know how people got to know about MorphOS and this site.

I guess almost everyone here is a former amigan, and also, a nearly-forty-year-old bloke. That's why I'm extremely fascinated by people that are NEW to MorphOS, without an Amiga background. See? Coming to MorphOS has much more merit that to AmigaOS 4, becuase the later has that brand recognition (let's not discuss about that, right? ) that MorphOS can't have.

Could somebody prepare a poll, something like "How come that you've ended up here?". In its comments, people could make a brief presentation of themselves.
