Has anybody here experience with a multiuser environment? MorphOS 2.x preferences has an element called "Users", but what does it do? I guess it only makes sense when using filesystems that also have the notion of users. Does it do something to network resources shared with SAMBA/CIFS? Can it take care of authentication in other servers?

I guess that, when preferences are stored properly (in "ENV:" and "ENVARC:"), which not every application might do, different user profiles would be doable, creating subdirectories in "SYS:PREFS/ENV-ARCHIVE" and swithching to them at the beginning of the startup-sequence. But that's not really multiuser.

Don't get me wrong, I just love MorphOS not having the notion of user at all! I'm just being curious, because no Amiga operating system has had multiuser abilities.

I would also be interessted to know how this works, or what it's for.

    Any feed-back to jcmarcos questions?

    Regards

The user panel in preferences is for networking only!
Multiuser for Mos is'nt possible at the moment (wrong filesystem ,...).

PFS should work with MorphOS, with its limitations ofcourse.
