I just got a Pegasos 1 for free (when i bought some other stuff from an Amiga user) (well he said he wanted some cash for it if it works) :)
Well it's still at my brothers place, he fetched it for me. The guy i got it from said it didn't have any hardware fixes done at all :/
And it might not be working at all.

But if it does would it possible to send it somewhere to get aprilfixes done?

Would be neat to able to run MOS.

If the board has no fix at all you canot get the April fix from anyone. Back then the April fix was also not added to existing boards, but new boards were equipped with the little April chips and teh old boards were exchanged for free.
Anyway, if that Pegasos has no April fix at al, it's still usable with MorphOS though.

Ok too bad, but nice that i still can run MOS. I'll get the board on tuesday, hope it works at all.

How does theese "features" affect the board? Random lockups?

There used to be ethernet lockups but I recall they were solved in 1.4.5 already. I can not be sure anymore.

Back then my non-aprilized Peg corrupted the hd every 5 minutes.
I don't know how much this changed due to MorphOS improvements or the April fixes (came together), but my Peg1 with April1 is now rock solid and nothing gets corrupted.
Regarding the network I once thought the aprilized Pegasos had still severe issues, but it was MiamiDx itself. Since I changed to MOSNet the network is rock solid.
Still, I don't know how much the April1 actually catches, but at least an aprilzed Pegasos is with MOS 1.4.5 and/or 2.0 quite reliable.

It is not that bad ;) I developed lot of software on such machine. On such machine it is better make sure that you can afford HD crash anytime.

Would a pci IDE controller "solve" the problems? Or isn't there any drivers?

The bug is inside the northbridge which does not handle correctly concurrent access to the PCI bus. So adding yet another PCI device would not change anything.
USB, ethernet and anything using DMA are also all affected.

Ok, thought they had the same problem as AmigaOne, but i guess not then.

They sure share this bug, as they use the same broken northbridge.
Plus it seems the teron/amigaone have some more which are supposed to be worked around using soldering, external cards, and so on...
