Today it was exactly 50 years ago that Sputnik (the satellite, not the browser ;-)) was launched and put into orbit, which sent a chock wave through the western world and marked the beginning of the so called Space Race.

    yeah, its sputnik day!
there was an event here in budapest few days ago where they played the signals and sound that sputnik sent to earth mixed with ambient-techno-house-like electronic sound while a big matrix and sputnik image was projected with light rays onto a big 19th century castle. that was cool:)

it could be the best surprise a new sputnik (the browser) release on this day:))

And Long Live the Pegasos family of computers...

    And Long Live Sputnik Browser!

(we can only say "Long Live the Sputnik Browser" as the real Sputnik burnt into the atmosphere a long time ago, so we cant cheer it with "long live" wishes) ;-)
