    Hello,

    Excuse me for stupid question, but what is subj?
    Is it Blue Morpho butterfly (Morpho menelaus) (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Blue_morpho_butterfly_300x271.jpg) or text "MorphOS"+Blue Morpho butterfly (Morpho menelaus) (see http://pingu.ii.uj.edu.pl/%7Earmo/homepage/amigallery/pix/morphoslogo.jpg) or something else?

    As mentioned before, IMHO the offical logo is what is on the www.morphos.de (of course without the "1.5 more weeks" slogan).

    keep the pr0n out please. (sorry, came in on the tail end of this, but if it's pron--we don't need it here.)

    We should all be adults here, but pornographic images (and I'm assuming that is what the issue was) can create issues for any website and certain un-named search engines.

    "IMHO"... That is main word here.
    Well, but now I want to ask... May I cut it and upload to Wikipedia? Who is author? Is this logo really B/W? Can I say to other (co-)authors that is TRUE logo? And so on...
    I think it's time to close the topic, because of nobody knows what is true logo.

    @moby

    Your best bet is to check with whatever morphos team member is on #morphos at any given time. I'm sure Jobbo could give you your best insight.

    The graphical symbol of the MorphOS operating system is the morpho menelaus butterfly which is famous for its glowing blue colour. It can be seen most prominently on wallpapers for MorphOS which are either included by default or available as an optional download to registered users. It is also featured in icons and other graphical elements.

    As for the actual MorphOS name as seen on the MorphOS team website, this is based on the Kabel font family and is usually either black or white.

    The combination of the MorphOS name and its graphical symbol may or may not include colour. This depends on the context in which theses are used. There is not one single logo, but several versions which vary in minor ways. (Not unlike, for instance, the Apple symbol which can be found in various colours in print or TV ads.)

    Well, I see it's possible to use both images, but the butterfly is primary symbol. It' s reason to return the butterfly back to the article. That is I want to hear :)

    Both images are uploaded to Wikipedia already (Because of I'm not uploader of above mentioned images, I don't know what author of MorphOSLogo.jpg thinking about it).
