Nope, and I will probarbly not get on before March. Nintendo here in sweden has stated that it will probarbly be hard to get a system before March.

But I do actuallt not want a system before then anyway. the fun software I want to buy will appear around march here in europe (I am no big fan of Zelda).

So how does it look in USA? Is it possible to go in and buy a Wii or is it sold out anyware? I mean here in Sweden (not the biggest market in the world) it is hard to get you hands on extra controlls or even games...

I bought mine at the North American launch (Nov 19)... (I burned my hand cooking the night before launch and couldn't sleep that night because of the pain. So I went off to wait in line in the early hours of the morning and got unit #19 out of 24). :P

It's still difficult to find one in Canada. (Apparently PS3's are getting easier to find however). I'm guessing that Wii's will be easier to locate by the end of the month however.

    That said:
Wii Sports: Fun pick up and Play game. Best use of the controls so far. :)

Rayman Raving Rabids: Great use of the controls and fun mini-games. I was impressed by this title.

Zelda: Great game, but I haven't had enough time to invest into sitting down and really playing for several hours.

Red Steel: Mixed bag. I like the game, but the controls take some getting used too (you have to remember all of the motions). The most annoying is trying to deal with being attacked from behind, your characters takes way too long to turn around. I do like how the enemies will run for cover, and the sword fighting is interesting.

Excite Truck: Didn't play much. It seems fun, but I found that the game will mis-interpret wild turns. (If you turn your controller too far one way, it'll interpret it as a turn in the other direction.)

Elebits: Great use of the controls. Fun, uses the online capabilities to share levels you made with your friends. I'm only in the first 10 levels. There are some puzzle elements that I don't quite get, and sometimes the triggers for some events aren't quite as simple at first. I.E. It's a bit difficult to manipulate a piece of bread in a toaster from a distance when you're not quite sure if you've got the depth perception worked out. The game does seem to have lots of unlockables though.

I've used the trail/beta internet channel and I'm a little disappointed on the size of the text. It's much too small, and you generallly have to zoom in in order to read anything. (I'm using component on a standard resolution television).

The weather channel is a bit fun to play with, would be interesting to have a google-earth-like channel in there. ;)

I've used the Virtual Console. I've got Super Mario 64 (N64), Bomberman '93 (TG16/PCEngine) and Gunstar Heroes (Genesis/Megadrive). I'm debating getting more VC games but I'd like to concentrate on the Wii games I've got.

Oh and the Game Cube compatibility is great. The only reason I've got my GameCube out now is for the GBA Adapter. ;)

Then at least it looks better for you than for us... sweden should get a big delivery next week. But most of those system is already booked and the rest is seld by resellers for insane prices. One of our biggest electrical stores claiming that they are soooo cheap is charging more for the Wii then a xbox360.

At least no one is asking for MorphOS to be ported to the WII. ;-)

I sure did get Zelda, which is currently the only purchased gamed I have so far. I also have a lot of Game Cube games though. I have over 15 hours into Zelda now. I am so hooked on this game. It is by far the best use of a game controller ever done! I am having a blast with the Wii sports too with friends and family.

My girlfriend bought me a Nintendo Wii on the European launch day. :) We got an extra controller also, and of course Zelda...

Zelda is awesome - really, really excellent - I agree, but Wii Sports is really something, too. I brought it home for christmas, and my family who never plays games had a lot of fun playing tennis and golf on it. Amazing.

I got my Wii on the launch day Nov. 19 and camped out for about 4 hours to get it. Every shipment has sold out since and they are very difficult to find in Canada. Great system, I love the remote and it even works on my intel Mac mini via bluetooth and a program called DarwinRemote. The virtual console, web browser and message boards are pretty great features for a game console to have. Favourite games: Zelda, Elebits, TraumaCenter and Excite Truck.
