I think I've read somewhere that the Pegasos 2 M-board will be using DDR memory (DDR 2700/333 probably). From what I know, the PPC computers don't really benefit from the usage of DDR ram. Could someone, please enlighten me on that subject? Are there any drivers for removable storage devices such as generic digital cameras? I would love to use mine, on MorphOS :-) .

The G3 / G4 CPUs only have a SDR bus which does limit it quite a bit but they can't get even that bus to 100% in anything but rare situations. Going to DDR means the bus should be fully saturated all the time and in some cases latency (delay) should be lower also.

A bigger factor should be the new Northbridge itself. The existing Pegasos 1 device isn't very efficient reading memory to put it mildly, I havent seen any memory benchmarks for the Marvell yet but I'm expecting to see quite a sizeable difference.

As for cameras I can't really answer that but if your camera acts as a standard mass-storage USB device it *should* be readable.

Can anyone else can confirm this???

    Hello!
    Here my girlfriends digital-camera ROCKS!
(I don't know the model, but I'll lokk and tell you).
    Easy Plug&Play with Poseidon!!!
Dis-/mounted in less than a second!

For bad luck my 128MB JetFlash stick doesn't
work for now, but I can copy files from stick
on camera on my girlfriends Mac and plug the
(filled) camera in my Peggie ;)

    Bye
