Well on a more serious note, I am getting out in May. Anyone with contacts I could submit a resume to would be a huge help.

    @Acill:

maybe you should tell us in what category you are searching jobs. radio dj? trash sorting? underwater research? a job as clown or a job as guy who saves frogs?
I doubt random contacts could help you if you don't know yourself what u really want. Just a hint. ;)

Well. If you are looking for a new job then first you must contact firms and enterprises which produce hardware, software and electronics for US Navy.

They are known to apprecciate people with skilled experiences...
...and more... they apprecciate mostly the people who could help them to improve manuals, procedures, devices in order to develop these with systems and functions that are really needed into military situations of functioning.

Try to get a list of well known firms which produce military furnishings and send hem your detailed curriculum-vitae.

Well. This is is only a FIRST idea in searching a new job based on your skilled Know-How capabilities.

Well, I just suggested you here on another MISSING post of mine...

(BTW: where is it??? Was my reply missing during site wrekage?)

...to contact firms and manifacturers of US military furnishings which are well known to hire skilled people like you and former military personnel who could help them to improve their products, manuals, to set new procedures of using their electronics hardware on sale by using military standards, and also to train their working teams on these procedures.

Try to contact these firms by sending them your curricullum vitae.

Addresses of these firms are public. Ask them at your local US-Navy Commmand HQ.

Hope I was here of some help for you.

    Ciao,

    Raffaele

P.S.: How Amazing! My previous post just appears again just after I posted this one.

    Hi Acill,
Congrats! Wish I had some leads for you, but -- none. Avoid Michigan! It ranks the highest in the US in unemployment. Dephi went bust; GM is going into Gut Management; Bill Ford whacked a few, but they're "built Ford Tough now"! Other areas associated with autos is equally bad. It's beginning to look like aXe-mas!
    Did I say cheers! :-)
