Ok.. a few things

1. Did you read the documentation that goes with the cd installer you used?

2. You need to provide more details as to your hd paritions and setup

3. You can go to http://www.ppczone.org which is the Official Linux support site for pegasos

4. By default IIRC you need to boot from the /boot partition of the root linux partition

example: boot ide:0 /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.blah blah

5. report back and i can see if I can help. However, the kernel maintainer (Sven L ) provides support on the above mentioned site.
