You sound like it would be entirely up to Buck. I think it's not. I think it's also about money actually available to pay for the entire MorphOS 1.5 Ambient license right now, as well as David's willingness to continue its development in the future too. Perhaps there are lots of other pieces of the puzzle that must fall into place as well? I'm sorry, but I don't think the situation is as simple as you (and some other people) makes it look in your posts, so my belief is that there is a very limited relevance and benefit in all those "PLEEEASE BBRV, FIX THIS" posts.

Back to the topic: It could of course *also* be that this Pegasos is simply for sale, like a couple of others has been sold at second hand in the past?

MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

Hallo. I just read your old Post you made on 30.05.2004.
You said on 30.05 your Pegasos2 is/was 4 months old.

In this post you say your Pegasos2 is 6 months old.

Now, for me 4+6 still is 10.
I recommend to correct this :)

Yes, the think is obviously not so simple, but Bill buck is absolutely the KEY element in this story. The first step is to pay Zapek and the others to "unlock" this situation, let MOS 1.5 to be released and stop people all around the world laughing about us.
After that better clarements about working conditions has to be taken between BBRV (Genesi if you prefer) and MOS core developers to avoid similar things for the future. And all the other words built around this story will be discussed, but now the core iussue is simple:

Zapek and the others has done a work and have to be payed for it.

PegasosII "Elite" Machine --> PowerMac MDD "popular" Machine --> MacMini 1.5 "still more popular" Machine

I will give them a nice home - WITH MOS!

P.S.: I pay the shipping, of course. :)

I seem to remember there are dedicated threads for this stuff. There is no need to turn every thread into some speculation and blame sessions.

To the best of my knowledge, Genesi has paid for MorphOS 1.4. Of course, if/when they would want to use the next versions of Ambient they would have to pay for that as well. If it still will be available and developed that is.

I am pretty sure everything that can be done about this situation *is* being done (at least from the Genesi side; however, it takes two to tango).

Where is the work Michele? Have you seen it? How about the CVS logs? How about a work report. We have not seen any of that in over a year. Let's see the code and what actual progress has been made. Stefan has willingly done this, but we don't think that is what this thread is about. Some one has a Pegasos to sell. Isn't it great there is an after market.

Maybe I'm confused but, before those under contract can get paid they have to turn in what they contracted for. No one is going to pay for something blindly. So who ever is the hold out, stop, and turn in your work. To say you haven't been paid when you haven't delivered the goods is rediculous. It seems more and more that 1.5 has never been done. Time to contract someone else to do the work.

Robin: Yeah?, but are you paid before* you worked your month?

Yes, I know some have pre-paid monthly salaries (pretty common in Sweden),
nevertheless it is modified the month after (sickdays, vacation etc.)

Hehe, you asked the wrong :-D Yes, I get my money the month before I do my work ;-)
    Consider this:
The work is done, laying on zapeks desk. If someone wants
it he has to pay for it ... for me it sounds easy.(Dont know if it's
    done,though)

I dont know whats going on, I just dont like the
way good/bad is used in this story ...
    Faults were done, equaly.
(I can still remember bbrv going round and offering
(nearly) everyone in the amigacommunity a job ...
but never heard "we're going through bad times, pls be patient with
what we've promised" before this story happened)

people buyed Pegs with promisses 1.5 will be ready as soon as possible,.,.,

    imagine a Apple without OS-X Support :-))

I dont like the opensource option.
MorphOS in it's current state is good enough,
that ppl offer to pay for 1.5 ... so there
is a potential in it to earn money. Perhaps
one day it's revenues can pay the developers.
Opensourcing it now will just improve the
situation now, but probably kill it in the
    long range ...

maybe opensource is not the best option but ..
the users are the loosers for now,,and how can we trust in a future at this point ??..
BPLan did a great job with hardware.. al lot of poeple did a great job with supporting this upcoming board...so maybe better doing a
darwin port or newos ... morphos for now seems to be dad .....

:-) Genesis should post a info as soon as possible

i will wait few day´s bevore i post my peg in ebay ..:-)

At this point nothing really changed.
We had no release date before, and we dont have one now.

What I'd like to see would be an option like a
    shareware-fee for Ambient/MUI. As amigauser we're
used to pay for things like that. (Before it was DOpus/MUI)

As it seems that Genesi is not willing to pay the
requested money ... I as a user would happily pay
for it (a resonable price) !

OS 4 is maybe a nice idea ... but has no potential to
    replace MorphOS anytime soon.
