That's terrible. I tried to find out who the people were who were being let go and found this article that says the 1000 will come from Freescale's 22000 worldwide. This spokesman Tim Doke says the cuts are anticipated to come from "administrative or overhead " as opposed to manufacturing.

That's not terrible ! Most of large corporation cut jobs. It is only 4.5 % of their workforce. What about General Motors cuttign thousand of jobs in Germany ?!

Tapero, I think this thread is on topic for Morphzone because Freescale processors are used in Pegasoses. MorphOS is part of the PPC processor community.
