> I don't know if you are talking about Ambient itself or about my theme for Fluxbox. If it's about my theme, I understand, since I didn't do any test but in both my Pegasos at home and my debian box at uni. It works ok for me, though.
Both. I dislike Ambient for its overuse of eye candy, while at the same time too much is lacking in terms of functionality. Judging from the looks of your theme you did not only match but extrapolate this problem.
> If you complain about Ambient... well, I guess you better go back to MS-DOS, C64-basic, or whatever is the last thing you were ever satisfied with.
MS-DOS at least didn't overuse eye candy, and the C64-basic UI was good-looking and functional at the same time. It achieved this even with a similar color theme.
> By the way, there are plenty of themes because there are plenty of tastes. If you don't like any of them, make one yourself! I like most of the themes for Fluxbox, but most of them are very dark, and I wanted a refreshing look.
You succeeded in making something refreshingly different. I don't release my desktop configurations very often, they are all looking the same and usually considered ugly and boring by most people.
> Any feedback is welcome! Since I am thinking of a related GTK theme.
That was my feedback.
